Job Description
The Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician will take a lead on the servicing and maintenance of a range of material testing products and instrumentation in the North (Birmingham and above).
The successful Field Service Engineer will have experience as a Mechanically adept Service Engineer. Experience with material testing products and instrumentation and rubber and plastics is beneficial!
*Will need to comfortable travelling to the South of the UK when required. *
Package:
- Up to £37,000 depending on experience!
- Annual bonus.

Field Service Engineer Role:
- To conduct planned servicing, repairs and maintenance to a range of material testing products and instrumentation the North of England, (more product information can be supplied after application).
- Maintain strong relationship with Lab and Quality Managers.
- Travel to the South of the UK for training and for office visits when required.
- Reactive maintenance on material testing products and instrumentation when required.
- To ensure the works completed are in line with the industry legislation and standards.
- Carrying out exploratory material testing products and instrumentation inspections and recommend suitable solutions.
- Stay overnight when required (3 days is the recommended maximum).
- To work closely with various material testing products and instrumentation Services and sales departments.
The Successful Field Service Engineer Candidate:
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Engineering Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician position.
- Experience with material testing products and instrumentation and rubber and plastics is beneficial!
- Mechanically biased.
- To be passionate about the industry and be willing to work hard, travel far, and stay overnight when required.
- To enjoy building, developing and maintaining relationships with a range of customers.
