Service Desk Lead Technician
Location: Chandlers Ford
Up to £32k (can be negotiated depending on experience) 
Hours of work: Full time / Monday – Friday
 
Churches Fire is and an industry leading national Fire Security business that is rapidly growing and seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join their team. We have a track record of providing fantastic opportunities to candidates throughout the country and are seeking a Service Desk Lead Technician to work from our newly refurbished state of the art Head Office in Chandlers Ford.
 
The Role:
  • Overall technical leadership; within the remit of the IT operational framework.
  • Translation of complex incidents; to the IT Manager or the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Technical authority of all support incident / problem resolution and supplier or vendor escalation.
  • Takes ownership of all problems, through to resolution.
  • Documentation of each resolution; for incident or problem closure, whilst maintaining the organisations knowledgebase.
  • Maintain standard configuration management for server and desktop operating systems, networking devices and end-user devices.
  • Monitor and maintain the company’s data protection; through backups, archiving and recovery solutions.
  • Restoring or recovering infrastructure or software platforms.
  • Training authority for external or internal training material.
  • Technical leadership and direction of the Service Desk technicians and external 3rd-party support suppliers and vendors.
Possible delegate of authority or representation of the Service Desk Supervisor or affinity team members; in their absence.
 
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Service Desk Lead Technician, or similar role.
  • Minimum of 1 years maintaining a service desk ticketing system.
  • Minimum of 1 years maintaining a knowledgebase library.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems; including the last three versions.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining Microsoft Exchange (on-premise or on-line with Office 365 license management).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining Microsoft SharePoint (on-premise or on-line).
  • Minimum 1 year’s’ experience maintaining Mobile Device Management solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience maintaining encryption and certificate solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Minimum 5 years maintaining end-user devices; including desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining networking devices; including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining security appliances; including network firewalls and operating system firewalls.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing and maintaining Microsoft scripting technologies.
  • Microsoft server, desktop, directory, and email MCP certifications.
