Job Description

Senior Service Engineer - Medical Equipment - Immediate Requirement - East London

We are actively recruiting a Senior Service Engineer for this successful, rapidly expanding provider of Medical equipment. 

This busy and challenging role will involve varied duties, but primarily the installation, servicing and maintenance of medical aids and equipment on a reactive and planned basis. 

Based primarily between Royal London Hospital and one other, the role will involve overseeing one other Service Engineer and supervising a team of installers from an escalation and rostering perspective. The business operates to strict client service levels, so the successful applicant will be required to effectively juggle tasks to ensure optimum equipment availability and service delivery. 

Key duties will involve: 

Hands on maintenance of a variety of hospital equipment, including hoists, electrically operated beds, stretchers, cots and other items.
Planning and executing planned preventative maintenance across all sites.
Liaising with key contacts across the business including contract managers, installers, clinicians and contractors. 
Replacing faulty / damaged equipment within expected timescales. 
Managing and auditing on site stock levels, addressing any issues. 
Ensuring adequate resource cover on a day to day basis, and out of hours cover through effective rota and leave planning.

In order to apply, you should have proven experience within a maintenance / technician role and will have worked on mechanical / electrical items. Exposure to each of the areas listed above is preferred, as is experience with medical equipment although this is not essential as full product training will be provided. 

The successful applicant should be a good people manager and must be adept at working with power tools and will preferably have an electrical qualification such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
