Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £24,000 to £26,000 basic dependant on experience , Realistic OTE £35-£36K

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45am – 5:30pm

Dynamite Recruitment is working in partnership with a very well-established business who are based in the Portsmouth area

Due to recent expansion of branches across the UK, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales and Account Manager to join a very successful sales team
As a Sales and Account manager you will support with generating new business as well as developing existing client accounts

This is an internal position and will require you to generate opportunities via email and on the telephone with an occasional requirement to meet with a client

Previous experience within Sales isn’t essential although would help however a good attitude and keen individual looking to be successful within sales is important
We need someone to be customer facing and to educate / consult potential customers

This position requires a considerable amount of contact with customers over the phone to cover a large account base and keep their focus on buying from you rather than their competitors.

As a Sales and Account Manager you will be required to
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts – Both new and existing customers
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market via email and on the telephone
  • Proactively follow up new leads quickly
  • Identify and understand the needs of the customers
  • Recommend appropriate products and services
  • Build and maintain new and existing accounts
  • Produce quotes and proposals for clients
  • Work closely with external Key Account Managers to generate opportunities and close business
  • Ensure that all sales orders are processed and dispatched within agreed timeframes
  • Achieve KPI’s focussed on call statistics, sales figures, and product lines
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
The ideal sales and Account Manager will have / be
  • A keen interest of succeeding in a sales position is essential weather you have previous experience or not
  • Previous experience in sales account management background would be preferred but this isn’t essential
  • The ability to engage and build excellent rapport with your customers
  • Establish strong relationships with new clients by using your own initiative
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team where necessary
  • Able to work to multiple deadlines / timeframes
  • Demonstrable experience of proactive sales by telephone
  • Ability to understand customer needs and deliver excellent customer experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • An ability to deliver on time and to tight deadlines
