Purchase Ledger Clerk
Up to £26k, Depending on Experience
Full Time, Permanent Position!
Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join one of our top clients based on the outskirts of Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a busy and experienced team.
The Role:
- Report to the Head of Finance
- Oversee 1 staff member’s workloads
- Maintain the purchase ledger from receipt of invoice and inputting to the accounts system
- Processing payments, invoices and credit notes
- Statement and bank reconciliations
- Ensuring suppliers payments are met within the agreed terms
- Reconcile company bank accounts on a weekly basis
- Pay out and reconcile petty cash
- Calculate or post journals
- Suggesting ways to implement new processes and procedures
- Maintain and provide support on the finance package
- Assist and ensure compliance with company internal control framework
- Support the Head of Finance with year-end audit process
- Assist with basic analysis when required
- Previous experience within a similar position
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise under pressure
- Competent Microsoft Office user with excellent Excel skills
- A logical, organised approach to problem solving
- Experience of Sage/Xero would be desirable
