Purchase Ledger Clerk
Up to £26k, Depending on Experience
Full Time, Permanent Position!

Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join one of our top clients based on the outskirts of Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a busy and experienced team.

The Role:
  • Report to the Head of Finance
  • Oversee 1 staff member’s workloads
  • Maintain the purchase ledger from receipt of invoice and inputting to the accounts system
  • Processing payments, invoices and credit notes
  • Statement and bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring suppliers payments are met within the agreed terms
  • Reconcile company bank accounts on a weekly basis
  • Pay out and reconcile petty cash
  • Calculate or post journals
  • Suggesting ways to implement new processes and procedures
  • Maintain and provide support on the finance package
  • Assist and ensure compliance with company internal control framework
  • Support the Head of Finance with year-end audit process
  • Assist with basic analysis when required
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience within a similar position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise under pressure
  • Competent Microsoft Office user with excellent Excel skills
  • A logical, organised approach to problem solving
  • Experience of Sage/Xero would be desirable
