Job Description

A Financial Planning & Wealth Management company have a new opening within the Acquisitions team to work as a project manager.

This is a bespoke role and it will be a new addition to this exciting part of the business, your working closely with the CCO and you will

Some the role will consist of:

Work closely with the CCO to manage all aspects of the acquisition process including:

  • Close involvement in the targeting of potential acquisitions and reviewing their suitability in line with Group's culture and objectives
  • Lead the financial modelling of potential acquisition targets to ensure they meet financial objectives and together with CCO recommend which acquisitions to pursue to the Leadership Team and Board
  • Responsible for writing acquisition papers for the bank, leadership team and Board to recommend acquisitions
  • Manage the overall due diligence process and in respect of smaller acquisitions undertake some financial due diligence work
  • Lead the integration planning and execution. Working closely with other members of the business, including compliance, finance etc
  • Monitor progress v forecasts, working closely with the finance team in respect of monitoring deferred consideration payments due

Involvement in other ad hoc projects, mainly related to integration of acquisitions

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with all levels of executive and senior level management
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and working collaboratively with other members of the business to deliver integration plans
  • Build strong relationships within the organisation and externally

Skills and background required:
Degree, ideally in finance, economics, accounting or business administration

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Accounting qualification or experience helpful but not essential
  • Experience of acquisitions and due diligence processes, either gained in professional practice or in industry
  • Financial services experience helpful not essential
