Major Claims Case Handler - Eastleigh

£35,000 - £45,000+ P/A depending on experience!

Full Time - Permanent - Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm

Dynamite Recruitment is delighted to be representing one of the top 20 insurance companies in Europe in recruiting an experienced Claims Handler to join one of their teams in Eastleigh. We are looking for candidates with previous claims handling experience of claims worth £250k+!

The Role:

  • Working to strict FCA regulations and investigating technical, complex or contentious claims thoroughly.
  • Ensuring all claims are managed and settled in accordance with the company's best practice.
  • Dealing with and investigating technical complaints.
  • Looking after your own portfolio of cases and inputting large loss content.
  • Liaising with other departments in the business including Underwriting, Actuarial and Compliance.
  • Completing major loss reports, supporting on-site with major losses and even attending court if required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have excellent claims handling experience and knowledge of dealing with household claims.
  • Must be familiar with dealing with claims worth £250k+.
  • Will need to have excellent technical expertise and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work autonomously with minimal management/supervision.
  • Professional industry recognised qualifications are desired!
  • Will need to understand the key drivers of claims cost containment and service provision
