Job Description
Location : Petersfield. You will work from home mostly although you will need to be flexible to attend the office 2-4 times per months
Hours of work : 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Due to huge growth our client is looking to expand their legal team and are loo Legal Administrator / Pre-Legal Assistant
As a Legal administrator / Pre-Legal Assistant you will be responsible for the following tasks :
- Completing a high volume of Legal administration
- Be responsible for the daily handling and administration of a pre-litigation caseload,
- You will primarily be responding to letters of claim and letters before action.
- Work closely with the Legal Team and Senior Legal Assistants you will determine trends in LBA’s and letters of claim and respond to these accordingly, providing a robust argument pre litigation so as to prevent claims from being brought.
- Accurate drafting of legal correspondence and witness statements, sending of witness statements
- Answering inbound calls and making outbound calls.
- Liaising with third parties including solicitors, Claims Management companies and brokers and dealers.
- Debt recovery work, taking payments and arranging payment plans
- Uploading new cases onto the case management system
- Updating the internal databases with accurate information regarding correspondence from customers and third parties
- General administrative support to all areas of the Legal Services Team
- To adhere to Data Protection Act regulations always
- Scanning court documents, issue documents, witness statements and other paperwork to file and saving to relevant section
- Calling courts and making enquiries about cases and chasing documents such as Court Orders
- Discussing and agreeing payment plans with customers, and recording these on the system as required
- Closing cases when payment in full has been received or the process requires a transfer to another department·

- Understanding of Data protection, Anti Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery & Corruption requirements
