Legal Assistant/ Legal Administrator- Remote
 
Location : Home working / Offices In Petersfield
Whilst this position will be fully remote working role you MUST be available to travel to the offices in Petersfield to collect equipment . Potentially completed adhoc days training
 
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
 
Salary: £10.00 per hour
 
Duration: 3 months initially
 
Dynamite recruitment is currently working in partnership with a very well established award winning business who are based in the Petersfield area
 
Due to a busy period our client is looking to recruit a Temporary Legal Assistant to join the business asap

As a Legal Assistant / Legal Administrator the role will involve corresponding with many customers, different teams and departments, and as such a team player with excellent communication skills is essential. The role will require patience, persistence and an ability to deal with challenging customers, both on the telephone and in writing.

You will also be held responsible for managing high importance administrative tasks

As a Legal Assistant / Legal Administrator you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • To manage the administration for various litigation cases - primarily enforcing court orders and CCJ’s which have previously been granted.
  • Handle a mixed caseload of enforcement of debt, including but not limited to Attachment of Earnings, Charging Orders and Order for Sale, and Statutory Demands and Bankruptcies from inception to conclusion with minimal supervision
  • Monitor litigation claims with accuracy
  • Accurate drafting of court documents and witness statements
  • Liaising with third party suppliers such as court advocates and solicitors to manage court hearings and legal documents
  • Debt recovery work, taking payments and arranging payment plans
  • Accurate letter writing, answering inbound calls and making outbound calls
  • Uploading new cases onto the case management system
  • Updating the internal databases with accurate information regarding correspondence from customers and third parties
  • To ensure that compliance is adhered to and FCA regulations are met
  • To adhere to Data Protection Act regulations always
  • Scanning court documents, issue documents, witness statements and other paperwork to file and saving to relevant section
  • Calling courts and making enquiries about Moneybarn’s cases and chasing documents such as Court Orders
  • Discussing and agreeing payment plans with customers, and recording these on the system as required
  • Closing cases when payment in full has been received or the process requires a transfer to another department
  • Copying and sending out witness statements
  • Updating and maintaining various spreadsheets

  • Strong communication skills
  • Resilience
  • Competent Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel)
  • An interest in Law, and or the finance industry
  • Ideally be familiar with legal terminology
  • Will be available asap and happy to commit to 3 months
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, proven decision making
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to multi-task
This position could be an ideal route into a legal department for someone who is keen to gain the experience
