Junior Project Manager

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Location: Chandlers Ford

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm

Dynamite Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with well-established business in Chandlers Ford who are one of the UK's leading service providers. Due to success throughout 2017 and continued growth our client have expanded their operations team and are now looking to recruit Junior Project Managers with immediate effect

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have a qualification in Prince 2

As a Junior Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting delivery of projects including mentoring less experienced staff
  • The Operations Team have a number of projects covering a wide range of issues, these vary in size and you would manage a number of projects at any one time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Lead/support and assist on tasks to support the Project Managers delivery of any project
  • Coordinating, supporting and attending internal and external stakeholder meetings on behalf of the Project manager
  • Scheduling and organising meetings on behalf of the Project Manager
  • Validating the captured requirements of internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are fully scoped and understood ahead of delivery planning
  • To ensure delivery of full personal requirements/milestones to agreed deadlines
  • Manage expectations of external/internal parties to ensure consistency across projects based on guidance by the Project Manager
  • To keep the Project Manager fully updated on all areas of the Project that they are looking after
  • Creating full Project plans, milestone reports and all other Project documentation required to ensure accurate project scoping and delivery timings
  • Supporting and liaising with other teams within the business to ensure continual development of processes and projects and effective delivery relationships
  • Preparing training documentation to assist in the roll out and delivery of change processes

The ideal candidate must have

  • Previous experience of assisting with Project management previously
  • Excellent written English skills
  • Good level of Maths and English
  • Stakeholder Management experience
  • Experience of requirements gathering in a project setting
  • Ability to display and communicate a logical thought process
  • Ability to display excellent analytical skills
  • Able to manage own workload as well as delegate and manage others
  • Undertake individual working to a high level of attention to detail
  • Liaising with other parties and across cultures, to discuss technical information
  • MS Office especially Project, Visio and Excel
  • Identifying issues and resolutions
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Being proactive in achieving results, confidently chasing external stakeholders and resolving issues
  • Able to cope with tight deadlines and changing priorities, under pressure
  • Striving to enhance process without compromising existing results
  • Building rapport with other teams within the business to enable great working relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills

  • A recognised Project Management Qualification would be desirable although not essential
