Inside Sales Executive
£20,000 - £30,000
Dynamite Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our client based in Fareham that are looking for an Inside Sales Executive within a busy Global Freight Forwarding business.
You will act as first point of contact for the customer base, deliver high levels of customer service, develop and maintain relationships with clients and key accounts and maximise accounts and profitability.
As Internal Sales Executive you will be responsible for targeting customers, delivering new business sales and existing account development which will be beneficial and profitable to the business.
Key responsibilities:
  • Handling Air and Sea Freight enquiries
  • Responsible for Internal and external pricing
  • Cold call - contact customers (existing and prospective) to prospect for new business
  • Provide quotes and follow up with customers to meet their needs
  • Liaise with Key Accounts, Sales and Operations
  • Rate negotiation - negotiate on price, costs, and specifications with customers
  • Update customer tariffs
  • Research and Identify market trends, potential and customer needs
  • Deliver good quality customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via all channels of communication
  • Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries
  • Provide customers (existing and prospective) with complete details on services
  • Upsell services as appropriate
  • Liaise and build rapport with all new customers enquiries
  • Develop relationships with potential clients
  • Grow business with existing clients seeking new business opportunities
  • Maintain flexibility and react to change appropriately
  • Be responsible and accountable for any service or solution you sell
  • Undertake any reasonable requests from Managers in line with the range and scope of the post
  • Comply with the requirements of the Risk Management Policy, a copy of which is available from your Manager.
  • Assist in ensuring that all health and safety, and security measures are complied with, in accordance with company policy
  • Proactively develop own skills, knowledge, and competence in line with business needs and statutory requirements.
What you need:
  • Previous freight forwarding experience is essential
  • Experience within Air and Sea freight
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good customer and commercial focus
  • Ability to make cold calls to generate new customers
  • Ability and desire to sell
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection without taking it personally
  • Good written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Able to deliver good quality customer service
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Experience in sales-driven environments is desirable
  • Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Possess a positive, confident, and determined approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Well organised with good task and time management skills
