HR Advisor
 
Location : Portsmouth
Hours of work : Core working hours Monday to Friday
Salary : £26000 -£29000 per annum plus fantastic benefits
 
Dynamite recruitment is working in partnership with a very well established organisation based in Portsmouth
 
Due to business change an exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor to join a friendly HR team
 
As HR Advisor you will report directly the HR Manager and assist in the provision of a first class  HR service to all stakeholders across an expanding business.
 
As a result we are looking for a talented , experienced HR advisor who has a real passion for ER and who has also had experience in managing the payroll for the HR department
 
The right candidate will possess the skills to forge meaningful relationships at all levels within the business and provide sound advice on a variation of HR matters such as recruitment, performance management, absence and ER.
 
As a HR Advisor you will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Assist managers  with all ER related queries;
  • Provide advice and support on Employee Relations casework including investigations, absence management, capability, performance management, disciplinary and grievances, AWOL,
  • Compile professional letters and complete all associated administration relating to ER cases, including grievance and dismissal outcome letters;
  • Record and report on all ER cases, escalating any business-critical issues to the HR and senior managers
  • Responsible for processing the monthly payroll, Auto Enrollment and keeping abreast of legislative changes;
  • Responsible salary and benefit bench marking
  • Provide support and guidance to line managers on payroll issues and administration
  • Responsible for the maintenance and continued development the HRMS and ensuring that all staff are trained on its use;
  • To assist the HR Manager with the identification of training needs and the design and delivery of appropriate training;
  • Responsible for overseeing work experience, apprenticeships ,work placement and volunteering;
  • Support the implementation of any ongoing HR projects
  • To provide a high level of service to all employees, taking a proactive approach to all queries ensuring that they are followed up and closed or escalated to the HR Manager as appropriate;
  • Escalate any business-critical issues to the HR Manager;
  • To provide support for company-wide HR initiatives such as appraisals, pay reviews, L&D roll-outs, and other projects as direct
 
  Ideal Candidate 
  • The ideal person will have the following
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent or working towards
  • Experience of working in a HR advisor position , within a fast-paced reactive environment
  • Good understanding of employment legislation
  • Employment relations/ ER experience
  • Will have supported in a HR department with payroll and will have a good understanding or processes and legislation
  • Well versed in HR policy and administration
  • Experience of designing and delivering training
  • Highly proficient in using Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • A confident and resilient individual with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner
  • Can deal with confidential matters, with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience of using Sage would be advantageous although not essential
