Temporary Homeless Prevention Team Leader
80% home working / 20% office based
Location: Portsmouth OR Basingstoke
Hours: 37 hours.
Salary: £17.00 to £17.80 per hour.
Duration: 2 months initially likely to be extended.

As a Homeless Prevention Team leader, you will support 6 officers who are delivering homeless prevention services across their homes.
As a Homeless Prevention Team Leader, it will be your responsibility to:
- Motivate and support the team of 6 officers.
- Complete regular employee performance and development appraisals.
- Manage any disciplinary, grievance, harassment, and performance issues.
- Investigate escalated complaints.
- Build and maintain external relationships with local authorities.
- Promote the homeless prevention service.
- Work closely with the tenancy support team to ensure a smooth and efficient process for the customer.
- Keep up to date with latest legislation.
The ideal Homeless Prevention Team Leader will be/have:
- Excellent understanding of the social housing environment.
- Strong experience within supporting vulnerable people within the community.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Will have the ability to multitask and prioritise.
- Confident in working with issues and finding a solution.
- Customer focused with a “right first time” attitude.
- Driving licence.
- Strong people management.
