Dynamite Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a very well established, award winning business based in Hampshire.
Due to company developments our client is looking to recruit a Buyer to join the business Immediately
As a buyer you will be a key part of the Purchasing Team, the Buyer is responsible for the ownership and management of our client's products.

You will proactively manage lead evaluation, initiates relationships and negotiates with suppliers on quality, pricing, service and delivery timeliness, ensuring the best value supply chain that supports commercial, operations and business objectives is maintained.

In addition to this, you will also manage ongoing relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments, ensuring that the business delivers continued success and growth across its product portfolio.

As a Buyer you will be the primary point of contact for B2B relationships, with specific focus on the supply of Solution based products

Your key duties will include:

  • Host business reviews and increase profitability by negotiating costs and promotions along with payment terms and credit limits
  • Rationalise and grow the Company's Main Distribution Frame (MDF) programme in partnership with the Marketing and Sales departments
  • Pull data and develop reporting on the Company's product trends, sales and manufacturer positioning within the business
  • Manage the external manufacturer within Operational and Sales departments
  • Perform as functional bridge amongst external Manufacturers and Partners as well as internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate all product management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors or internal employees
  • Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate Manufacturer, Partner and Product performance
  • Troubleshoot problems and present to management as required
  • Act as a single point of contact and escalation for Solutions Manufacturers and Partners and coordinate issue resolutions with senior staff
  • Assist in a liaison capacity with Manufacturer and Partners and other departments and business units to implement and communicate business strategy
  • Provide monthly summaries on overall performance and trends on Solutions products
  • Manage the development of new incentives with both internal department and external vendors.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the position

The ideal candidate will have/be

  • Previously experience within a Buying / Purchasing position previously
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • A positive "can-do" attitude
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills and use of programs including MS Excel, Word and CRM systems
  • Logical and structured approach to work
  • High level of commercial awareness - understands how their role and other roles impact the business
  • Able to remain calm when faced with challenging situations and individuals

  • Excellent teambuilding and relationship-building skills at all levels
  • Experience of managing multiple supplier relationships in a dynamic environment

  • Previous commercial administrative experience
  • Experience with technical product purchasing (desirable)
  • Experience of Mitel Products & Solutions (desirable)
