Customs Administrator
Location : Portsmouth
Salary £18000-£20000 dependent on experience. You will have an opportunity for this to rise as you become a specialist within the customs department and full training will be given to be able to achieve this.
Plus overtime - Saturdays will be paid at time and a half , Sundays will be paid at double time
Start date : Immediate start
This position is a temporary position to remain permanent with the company after 12 weeks
Hours : 40 hours per week;You will need to be flexible to work shifts between 6.30am and 8pm and work for a few hours on a Saturday and Sunday morning , this will be every 4 weeks

Due to the growth of the business we are currently looking to recruit an Administrator to join their Customs department
This is a great position for someone who would like to specialise within a position as you will be trained to become a specialist within custom clearance
As an Administrator / Trainee customs clerk you will be responsible for
- Working with a specialist team to assist with all round administrative tasks
- Data processing of client orders and highly important information
- Completing paperwork to enable goods to be cleared through customs
- managing hazardous goods
- Booking of transport to ensure goods are sent and received within agreed time frames
- Liaising with others via email and on the telephone
- Providing customers with support as and where possible
