Job Description

A small business in Winchester is looking to recruit a Bookkeeper on a permanent basis. The business is flexible on hours offered but we are looking for somebody for approximately 20 hours per week. 

This role is looking to interview and start asap, the business has a 20-year trading history and has a strong order book for 2020.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will report to the Finance Manager. Duties include:-

  • Input purchase ledger invoices on Sage Line 50
  • Raise sales ledger invoices 
  • Credit control for the business 
  • Reconcile nominal ledger 
  • Bank reconciliation 
  • VAT returns 
  • Process payroll for weekly and monthly paid staff 
  • Assist with month-end duties 

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:- 

  • Working knowledge of Sage, Xero or Quickbooks
  • Immediately available 
  • Worked in a Bookkeeper, Accounts Manager, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant capacity 
  • Ability to work independently
